50 College Drive Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful, Cape Dutch architectural style house which has been lovingly renovated and restored. Jonny Kable (the owner), restored this house to more than its former glory. This is truly a home away from home to suit the traveller who prefers a cosy, homely atmosphere to an impersonal hotel. Also for the corporate who wants to come home to relax after a long day at work, out of town hospital visitors, school sporting event supporters as well as holiday makers.

We have secure, off street parking under antique street lamps on cobblestone paving. This parking is set amongst our semicircular rose garden and rockery. Enjoy a full English breakfast served by your hostess, Nanette, in the open plan yellowwood kitchen/dining area. This opens onto a wooden pool deck and braai area. If you prefer, breakfasts can be served in your room or out on the deck on a summers day.

The guest lounge is cosy and private, boasting a small ‘business nook’ with ADSL and fax facilities. Relax by the log fire on cold winter nights. Gleaming wooden floors, Imbuia lounge suite and a warm fireplace accentuate the elegance of the guest lounge. We have three spacious en-suite bedrooms, all tastefully furnished with comfy queen, king and twin beds. Percale linen. Each bedroom is equipped with a mini fridge, TV with DStv channels, tea and coffee making facilities, heaters and hairdryers. Our bathrooms are beautiful and have walk-in frameless showers or stunning Victorian baths.

We are centrally situated in the upmarket suburb of Mill Park. Everything in Port Elizabeth that you could need is a one to 10 minute drive away. Grey High School, St Georges and Greenacres and provincial hospitals. Port Elizabeth Golf Club, Port Elizabeth Airport, shopping malls and cinemas, top restaurants and the beach. Other venues close by include Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Complex, the Opera House, The Feather Market Convention Centre, and the new Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium which is about five kilometres away. Slightly further, are beautiful beaches such as Sardinia Bay, Schoenmakerskop or take a scenic drive into the country areas of Chelsea and Theescombe. Along these routes you will also come across the Kragga Kamma Game Park and a 45 minute drive will take you to the Addo Elephant Park, well worth a visit. Airport transfers can be arranged.

Deluxe Room (1)

This luxurious front facing room has gleaming wooden floors covered with Persian rugs, a large king size ‘sleigh’ bed and a bay window in which there is a round dining table. This room is equipped with a microwave, bar fridge, tea and coffee trolley and eating utensils. The large flat screen TV has selected DStv channels, including all sport and Mnet, movie, news and entertainment channels. This room has a beautiful en-suite bathroom, with Victorian bath and spacious frameless shower.

Superior Room (1)

A spacious room which can be entered either from the house, or from its own entrance and deck. This room is in two sections; the bedroom with gleaming Oregon floors and Persian carpet, and the tiled, enclosed porch which houses the dining table, fridge, microwave and tea/coffee dresser. Double doors lead into your Victorian bathroom with bath and shower. Flat screen TV with the same channels offered as in the Deluxe Room.

Standard Room (1)

The Standard Room leads out to the pool deck via French doors. It has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower only. This is a spacious room and always a popular choice. All trimmings included such as a microwave, bar fridge and a TV with selected DStv channels.

Garden Flat (1)

A self-contained and fully equipped flat on the premises with easy access to the garden, pool and barbeque area. The flat consists of open-plan kitchen, lounge, main bedroom ( en-suite) and second smaller bedroom.
