When your travel's bring you to Africa, there's only one Place to Stay. Diamond Diggers Backpackers is a combination of the old and new, place to park your pack. We offer various styles of accommodation including large dorms, smaller mixed and single rooms. Our kitchen has everything you need, we have a large BBQ(Braai) if you prefer. Free approved airport shuttle. Relax in our Jacuzzi Bar and take in a spectactular sunset view of the Johannesburg skyline, and of course we have the usual things you would expect like, security lockers, TV, video , pool table, laundry service, travel desk, licenced pub, broadband internet, and plenty more........... The Lodge is a stone's throw away from many restaurants and Africa's greatest shopping hub at the Eastgate Centre. Kensington is an established up-market suburb just east of the city offering easy access to Johannesburg International Airport, the CBD, SA Jewellery & Diamond Centre and the Ellis Park sports precinct. We are close to the integrated freeway network to the nation's capital Pretoria, Sandton, the eastern and western suburbs. There is secure parking. The good thing was, we were picked up from the airport twice, and dropped off without a hassle - very smooth. We stayed on two different nights before and after a jaunt to Capetown. The rooms were shabby (not shabby chic) and the hosts/staff sometimes bor
